Telling tales with my music was an aim I had in mind since I began composing someday back in the 1970s. So it is no wonder that my first bands „Kyrie Eleison” and later on „Indigo” were sort of „Rock Theater” projects with large scaled compositions telling tales and fantasies, and even performing the different characters on stage by using costumes, masks and picture (dia) shows, very equal to what did Genesis and Yes at that time.
But these days went by, and by finding back to my classical piano roots I began exploring the field of spiritual music and started the
„Agnus Dei” project, a combination of written poetry of my first wife, and their transformation into instrumental, relaxing music.
After her unexpected passing I more and more realized that I really don‘t need anything more than my piano for making music, and so since several years now I´m trying to express my inner pictures and stories through pure solo piano songs.
Several albums with various topics resulted, and this one is now a collection of ”Wondrous Tales” existing only in my mind, which I hope you might be able to dedect in your own versions inside these songs. Good luck!
